Addison road over-bridge

October 10, 2023

Some updates from our site team at our Addison road over-bridge project where work has been rapidly progressing over the last couple of weeks.

With the 1200mm columns formed with our in-house bespoke formwork this allowed the engineered backfill to be placed with the pre-cast Tensar retaining wall.

Once the Tensar wall was completed this allowed us to progress with the North & South abutment capping beams followed by plinths for the bridge beams.

When the 40m bridge beams arrived on site and were installed via a tandem lift this allowed us to prepare and install the 160no EMJ GRP permanent deck panels whilst separate teams worked on the North and South diaphragm walls.

We then had the EFCO Forming & Shoring Solutions soffit support system delivered to site and teams set about assembling components in preparation for installation onto the bridge beams.

Currently our steelfixing teams are well underway to fixing in excess of 280t of rebar on this project with the bridge deck near completion.

All of these works were carried out using our in-house Liebherr Group LTM1055 mobile crane, Magni Telescopic Handlers – Official 7.26 rotational telehandler and various concrete pumps and MEWPS we operate within our fleet.

The quality of work being produced is a credit to the remarkable workforce on the project that has worked collaboratively with our project partners to ensure the safety and quality are constantly at the forefront of everything we do.
